Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of Chinese Medicine that concentrates on balancing the body’s Chi/Qi or natural energy, life force by way of the major Meridians or channels.  In this way, we can access and nourish all parts of the body to promote proper health.

Very fine acupuncture needles are inserted into points along the channels that are blocked.  Such stimulation (which can also be achieved by other techniques such as Gusha, cupping, etc.) helps restore natural balance and flow of Chi allowing organs and body functions to work in harmony and at full potential to maintain optimum health.

Acupuncture works very well in combination with western medicine, physical medicine, as well as other complementary techniques such as;  Massage and Reiki healing.

Massage

Massage therapy is a form of body work that focuses on the superficial layers of the
body (ie);  muscles, tendons and ligaments.  The most common form of massage is Swedish Massage which incorporates long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements along the superficial layers of muscle tissue.  A lotion or oil is usually
used during the treatment to enhance flow.

Massage creates flow and movement of energy, as well as helping to move
fluid throughout the body to maintain a natural balance of health.

A typical session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes and is extremely helpful to reduce
stress and relieve muscle soreness.

Hypnotherapy

The term “hypnosis” stems from the Greek work “hypnos” meaning  sleep and
was coined in 1840 by Dr. James Braid.

Hypnosis is a state of mind, enhanced by the mental and physical state of relaxation
at which time the subconscious mind is brought to the forefront and is able to communicate with the conscious mind.  The conscious mind is the active, thinking mind.  During this altered state of mind or deep state of relaxation, we can access our “Higher Self” or our “Inner Most Potential”.  Physical, emotional and psychological blocks can be brought to light, thereby redirecting or eliminating unwanted habits, behaviors, feelings and replacing them with more positive, more desirable ones.

The client is completely aware and in control during sessions.  One has the ability to
wake up at anytime if so desired.  Changes in habits, behaviors,  etc., are discussed
and agreed upon prior to session.   The hypnotherapist acts as a facilitator to guide
the client into a relaxed state of mind and helps the client access the subconscious
state where changes can be made.

Hypnosis is an effective and very safe method to redirect unwanted habits, emotions, feelings or behaviors that may be interrupting peace or good health in one’s life.

Reiki Healing

The word “Reiki” is translated in Japanese as : REI, which means “God’s wisdom or
The Higher Power” and Ki, which means “Life Force Energy”.  REIKI is actually
“God’s guided Energy”.

Reiki and Chakra Balancing is a form of spiritual healing that is a guided Universal Energy by the laying on of hands.  Some Reiki is performed with “hovering” hands, “non- touch healing” or even by way of remote or distance healing.  All types are very effective.

Reiki activates and aligns the body’s energy centers, helping to balance Chi
and is a wonderful way to  harmonize the mind, body and spirit.  The beneficial effects
of Reiki healing include: relaxation, feelings of peace, well-being and general
balance and harmony.

Energy work of this type is a powerful treatment in conjunction with all other medical
and therapeutic techniques.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic is defined as “The diagnosis and manipulative treatment of the joints, especially those of the spinal column”.  Chiropractic is a health care profession which focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.  It is a drug-free, hands-on approach to optimum health.

A “spinal manipulation” or “chiropractic adjustment” serves to restore joint mobility, enhance nerve conduction and reduces pain and dysfunction.  Regular adjustments insure proper harmony and a pain-free life style.
